    Hello Houston FCar Drivers,

Wanted to know if anyone is interested in taking their Ferrari for a spin around H town this Sun 5/19/13...the weather forecast calls for bright sunny skies.

I was thinking around 10am we can all meet up and cruise for a while.

    Let me know if interested!!

    Hi Pat,

I would love to do a drive but can't do 10, I have a previous brunch engagement (wife is coming back from a two week business trip and would not be very happy if I don't take her out). I'll watch this thread and see what happens.

For those of you interesting in driving, I suggest you join the local FCA. They typically do a bunch of very early Sunday morning runs.

I joined the FCA for my first year of ownership. I went to one function with them. The event calendar is always out of date on the website and I never got any emails about events. I'm not sure how you're supposed to find out about anything they do. This is the first I've heard of a Sunday morning drive. When my renewal came up I just threw it away.

Sadly, one problem the club has, in my opinion, is that it focuses too much on social events. To get hooked up, contact Grady Owen and tell him that Dale told you to ask him about the off the books runs. :)

Pat, went out driving today (Saturday) at 12 and even with the top off it was very hot. When I got home I was soaked. Went out again later with the top on and AC and was watching the temp gauge the whole time. It never overheated but it wasn't a relaxing drive. I think early morning or early evening drives are in order when it's so hot out.

The sweet spot is right after day break on Sunday morning. A little birdie told me once that there are fewer Troopers out at that time than any other. I can't recall why I thought that little tidbit of information might be useful, but there it is.
