I set up a drive on Sunday Feb 19. We had spectacular weather and a great turnout, Two hours of twisty roads and some of us stayed for dinner. This is what makes memories with our cars. For some reason I can't get Ferraris to participate but in this case we had four, a F430, a California, a 355 spider, and a 360 spider.

You set it up against the FCA club lunch for Enzo's birthday which brought out 17 Ferraris.

Plus I had house projects all weekend.

I know that. I think Enzo would have like seeing his cars on the road being driven and enjoyed. In the past I have set up drives not on days of FCA events but they are still rare sights overall.

I think Enzo only cared about racing and how to do whatever it took to go racing. Street cars were that answer, but also why he paid them little mind. It's why we have Lamborghinis afterall..

Send Cody Laird a note and he can send to FCA members ... I'm not sure all FCA guys look at F Chat much...

I go up monthly, but in the early mornings. Less cars/cyclists/cops. A couple of times a year I'll take a 4 day weekend and rent a cabin on Lake Santeetlah to drive the Dragon/Cherohala/area roads on weekdays. Especially in shoulder season when most of the tourists are away, it's the best way to get lots of clean, fast runs without any issues.

Small groups are best. 2-4 cars max.

I used to like to drive up in the mountains, but these days I'd settle on just going as far as Dahlonega and having a nice lunch at Wolf Mountain Vineyard when the weather gets warmer.

    I'm with you!

We like to take a drive up to Brasstown Valley for the seafood buffet and that drive alone to and from wears me out!

    Ciao,

Funny you should post this and I just saw it - my wife and a couple friends visiting from the west coast drove a couple of my cars up to Wolf Mountain on Sunday for Brunch via mountain roads. Never been there before. Great drive, great place/food/view and nice wine. That would be a nice FCA Corsa day!

Pic while switching cars in Helen on the way back. Forgot to actually take a pic at the winery ‍♂️ Image Unavailable, Please Login

Our drive was more westside trying to avoid the heavy law enforcement at the usual Blood Mountain route. We saw no police on our 2 hour drive.
    How was the car switch?
