White knuckles is an understatement. White hot knuckles is more accurate. I know she was partying the day/night before. I know she was white knuckling before she even showed up to run with us. Quickly earned my respect.
You never know what to expect when new comers join us for a spirited run. Emilie stuck right with us and even when I thought she may have fallen back with a group that got stuck at the tolls, there she was pullin' up strong in the black Vette. As they said it in Top Gun...you can be my wing man anytime Emilie! (ok, that may have been over the top a bit but you get the point)
The fact that you not only blur out the license plates, but get them to disappear the same color as the car? You got skills!
Did anyone else notice that guys plate frame on the Black M5 that followed us. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I really enjoyed that run. Perfect route for a beautiful day. Hope to go again soon. We had a master navigator. Eric, great job!!! MAPQUEST PERSONIFIED.
Yeah...I noticed that right off and frankly got a certain "feeling" about them joining us for the drive. Unfortunatley that "feeling" was valid since he rode all of our bumpers at different parts of the run. Vik and I actually had a "discussion" with him about it at one of our stops. Nice guy, but not someone I would welcome on a future run due to his aggressive style.
Now Nip don't put words in my mouth...I was just keeping up. You already know how I ride my beast. I had a blast! I was worried I had missed you guys when I was circling the Cloisters at 755 am. My friend spent so much time doing <his> hair in CT that we didnt leave until 645 am. Thankfully we made up for it by having an avg of 100 mph down the Merritt. Radar wasn't very strong, thankfully. It was a bit irresponsible of me to show up having missed a nights sleep, but I wasn't about to pass out on a couch with the rest of the Corvette party boys! I tried to wake two of them up to come, but they were definitely out for the count, lol. My 100mph Merritt friend would have come, but he had to get himself to his baseball game. Thank goodness for Advil! After the run I split off to 80 west. I drove west for 6 hrs, and after the run, cruising along at 80 mph and alone definitely felt poky. Going really fast isn't as much fun when you're all by yourself, and theres no one to take pics if you get pulled over I took alot of pics while I was driving on the run. I haven't had time to remove the license #s, but my windsheild was so dirty it almost doesnt matter. They certainly aren't professional quality, but they're still fun! Its hard to simultaneously take pics and downshift to keep pace with you exotics! I will post the link to one of my photobucket accts later today or tomm. when i have time to mess about on photoshop. And about the BMWs...i apologize if I was on anyones tail at any point. My vette boys do it to me all the time to mess with me, and I usually don't give it much of a second thought. We've got some pretty bad habits... Last night i found a self car wash near my hotel in Ohio. Its by a graveyard...pretty spooky! Im definitely heading over to wash and chamois the black beast Its therapeutic for both of us. Thanks again for the invite! It was great to finally meet some of you in person. Em
I have the same bad habits.... Anyone, know how I can blur out the license plates using Adobe Premiere Pro? I have some pretty awesome footage, but don't wanna post it with License Plates visible.
Nice to meet everyone, John your 348 is nice. Eric , from what i heard, great route. Sorry we couldn't keep up but to be honest with you we got up so early that we forgot to hit the mac machine and once we got to the toll we were fu*%. I know what you're thinking, you drive an f'n Ferrari and you don't even have $2.25 to your name. How pathetic! Anyways, hope to join you again and I'll make sure I'll bring $100's in my pocket.
I drive a Ferrari and I dont think I carry enough cash to make a phone call. I have EZ Pass and when I went thru the EZ lane, saw 5 of us lined up in the cash lane, i knew **** was going to happen. It took me and Em a good 10 mins to catch that pack. Never thought id say this, but thank the gods of traffic for red lights!
Here's a short video...I have plenty more but need a way to compress 202mbs of it or if anyone can tell me how or where I can upload it would be great as well. http://www.dropshots.com/day.php?userid=109491&cdate=20060612&ctime=124705
Way too windy and for some reason it didn't when i download the video to my computer, there wasn't any sound....I totally suck at video editing...
Thanks Robin... Dang, though, I'm nowhere to be seen in the pics or videos so far... Anyone get any shots of me in motion (maybe on the way back)? Looking forward to the next run. J.
I have a bunch of video and pics that I haven't even gotten a chance to look at yet, but I'm sure I got a couple of you somewhere.
Emilie next time you go on a run and leave from CT would it be possible to go with you? I would take a ton of pictures and video so you wouldn't have to worry about that while your driving
