Well, on Sunday at the Chateau, Bruce, Andrea, Jeremiah, Augustine, Josie and i all went out to lunch (thank you, Bruce) then headed over to EWA; the model place in NJ... It was nice (i almost had a heart attack when i first walked in); they had a nice selection, but we noticed there were a lot of "common" models missing from the shelves; no TRs (except for two 250s), no 355s, 348s, etc....
i took some pictures of some of the stuff they had in the store and i took pictures of - yep... you guessed it - the model i bought...! :)
It's the first model i've purchased in months and this new addition to the collection had me rearranging everything last night... i snapped a few quick pictures this morning and will take more detailed ones later and post them in the Collectibles forum tomorrow... Here are 8 pictures from Sunday, the last 3 being of my newest 360 Challenge... :)

My god! That is heaven! They even have an old Ford GT90 down there! I still dont have an Enzo in my collection...maybe for christmas :) Im itching for some of the "raced" models too.

What does EWA stand for? Maybe they have a store out near me?

Jordan, i'm not sure what it stands for, maybe Gus or Bruce would know; it didn't seem like the type of place that was a chain, though... You're probably better off going to Exoticar in Beverly Hills... You still don't have an Enzo...? Jordan, i've seen them in regular toy stores, you gotta get out there and find it... Is there a Hot Wheels outlet out in California...? i know there's one in Texas... Just hit all the regular places: Toys R Us, KB Toys, etc, etc, etc...

The only Ferraris I have seen out here were at that Big Lots a few months ago. The rest of the stores you mentioned all only have those hot wheels rice rod cars where you snap on parts. Yuck...

Thanks, Schatten... The only other "dirty" model i have is a 250 GTO; i really like the look these models have; it really gives an impression of what car really looks like when it's been raced... i love it... They also had the blue and white 250 TR as well as a yellow 250 LM; both belong in my collection; i have the red, "street" versions but not the racing versions...

Hi Jordan.... EWA = Eric Waiters & Assoc.

Eric started this store as a small shop in Berkley Heights NJ and slowly grew it into a large scale mailorder/cyber biz. They now have a nice retail center in Green Brook (or is that Bound Brook) NJ.

They are not quite as large a Exoticar, but their inventory rivals the biggest shops, and their customer service is way better than exoticar.

You can check them out here:

DES, as a suggestion, in the future, use the 'MACRO' mode on your digi camera. A lot of the shots with lots of cars in them are blurry. Macro will fix that.

I've purchased from EWA before, great service, highly recommended

Huber- AWESOME...! Does Dr. Earle post or visit this lovely site...?

Jet-X, i should probably go home and check the manual, thanks... When i got the camera, i was just so happy to have it, i immediately ran out and started taking pictures; should've read the manual first, i guess...

A lot of different stuff; Lamborghini Countaches, older cars, some newer stuff; pretty much whatever you can think of... That's not the only glass case they had filled with 1:43s, either... i saw a 1:43 Jaguar XJ13 - same color as the 1:18 Jaguar XJ13 they had, too...! Really neat stuff... No Breadvan, though... :(

Next time you go, look for a 355 for me (and call me if you find one)- I've been looking for one from a store for a long time and can't justify spending 1:1 Ferrari money for a 1:18 Ferrari online..

Dr. Steve Earl is a surgeon in San Antonio. I don't believe he's an F Chat member, but I can say he is a great guy.

Active in the 360 Challenge, he's been national champ at least once.

At the first USGP, I made it to the Challenge pit area without credentials, and hung out with lots of teams. When I made to FoH's pit area, I recognized him from photos and shouted out "Dr. Earl, you're my HERO!!!", laughing. He was really cool.

Later, after the race, he signed my program and gave me a cool helment pin, too. His mechanics insisted that the mongrammed dealership hat on the counter was mine, (it wasn't) and that I take it with me when I left.

Those "dirty" cars are a six car set by Hot Wheels. Yes, I've got 'em!
I've seen dealers and now EWA sell 'em alone. EWA got me started back when. They used to mail a huge catalog.
