Yeah, WOW...i wish i was that good. I don't have the balls to break out the sand paper and high speed buffer...i can deal with some swirls and dots from touch up paint.

Very impressive. My main question is why do all that on a VW? To me, it would make much mose sense doing this treatment to a more expensive car. That said, a hobby is a hobby and his results are great!

I suppose as a marketing tool. Only explanation I can think of that makes any sense. few $k for a car like that, post it on the intarw3b and then let the buzz flow for a while, cheaper than a single 1/2 page ad in a major newspaper.

I wondered about that too. My one thought was that if he was practicing/demonstrating the techniques, then you don't feel as bad about making a mistake on a VW Bora, as say a 288GTO?

His results are inspiring, and If I try to acquire those skills, I will definitely be starting out on my minivan or old Supra first!

Did he say it was a "company car" at the end? I hope that didn't mean he did all that work on some loaner/courtesy car.

it doesnt matter what kind of car it is. Maybe he just likes to have a nice clean car. He probably bought it off his company and now that it was his he decided to spend the time and make it look like it should. I appreciate him for taking the time, i bet he learned alot about his car during the process.
