Ferrari Enzo Michael Schumacher Edition. Haha. I doubt that would happen. I'm going with an uprated Enzo-based engine in the next generation F60. Things that I'd like to see: Light weight: at least 2600-2700lbs. More Power: 700bhp+ More F1 Tech: various manettino governing differential, susp height, susp stiffness, engine characteristics, traction control, stability, rev limiter, air/fuel mix, power steering, launch control ( change settings of LC ), front & rear braking, default-accept, etc. F1 gear selection: 7 gears available. The F40 and F50 were more unforgiving. Even if the market is for the ultra-rich, I don't care. The majority of them won't be driving their supercars around enough to warrant any arguing of ride comfort or creature comforts in general. Stick with the original formula: Racing car for the road. Not road car with racing elements, but still road-user-friendly. As for a special title instead of just "F60" go for.. F60 or: How Ferrari Won Year After Year in F1 and Dominated the World. Similar with the movie title.. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
I got it, call it the "Piero" Ha Ha. I think they should just take the 333 SP and upgraded with all the new fancy driver aid electronics and remap the motor, its already a V12. The 333sp is a single seater and basically an F1 car with a shell on it. I guess this what Ferrari is trying to accomplish, an F1 car for the road. Vic Just Kidding!
This is crap... There's no way to improve on the Enzo... It's masterful... It's perfect... Stevens will forever sit in Okuyama's shadow, even with the McLaren under his belt... The Enzo is and will always be the standard for supercars, but that standard will NEVER be reached... The Enzo is perfect... You can't improve perfection... End of story. i sure hope that's a digitally enhanced image from Autocar and not Ferrari- Originally posted by NNO........... Yes they are digitally made by autocar, it is the hypothetical image of what the 'super' enzo will look like. Rumors are about 700+ hp(although tha was already posted), it is going to be designed by Stevens, smae designer for the Mclaren F1. If you look at the article- it says Ferrari Formula 1 three-seater on the bottom corner. Any info on that?
No, the only info is in the article and it's all hypothetical... Thanks for letting me know about the digitally enhanced image... i hope this article is complete trash and Ferrari really won't try to "improve" on the Enzo... It would be pointless... They screwed up on the F430; i hope they learn from that...
screwed up the 430? it is the best "normal" ferrari out of maranello ( cs aside ). lots of people waiting very impatiently ( me included ) on getting the keys. Nobody jumping off the q for one. It's easy to judge the car harshly if you aren't on the list. rock on
NNO, I agree with you on a lot of things, but the 430 is a huge success in terms of performance and enjoyment. It's getting to the point where journalists are claiming that dynamically it is the best all around roadcar ever built. It obviously doesn't have the outright pace of an Enzo, but apparently the electronics and other technologies are good enough to make it feel as good as an unassisted car. It has everything someone would want(in terms of improvement). Hugely fast, impressive braking, impressive handling and incredible driver feedback. So like the looks of the car or not, I don't see how they screwed up the F430. I personally prefer the looks of the 360 a little, but it is definitely a step forward in terms of being a roadcar. And Ferrari certainly isn't going to learn anything.... the F430 is gaining universal praise.
More rumors: On ferrariforum.net someone claims that Ferrari will making 50 Enzo LM's. He wrote: ''The Enzo LM is being developed in the factory and has been discreetely offered to dealers with first rights of refusals to existing Enzo owners. Not second owners but those whose names appear on the factory list of first owners. It'll be 50 units and priced at Euro 1million'' I think the guy who wrote this, is a Ferrari owner. I don't know why, I think it will happen.
Hobo, i agree that the F430 is a step forward in terms of being a roadcar... My opinion, though, is that it's a step backward in terms of what Ferrari's V-8s have always been... Sleek... The F430 looks very bulky to me... Granted, i'm sure it's got all the latest electronic gizmos to make it FEEL sleek, but it just doesn't LOOK it... Also, after the 348, Ferrari made the 355... To the untrained eye, some people wouldn't immediately notice a difference... Same thing with the 360 and the F430... The thing is, though, Ferrari took the 348 and changed some of the styling cues, smoothing out the overall design of the car and the 355 was a result... With the F430, it seems, they started slapping **** on the car... It looks very choppy, especially from the rear with all the bold lines going every which way... The 360, while noticeably beefier than the 355, was still sleek... Voluptuous, yes, but voluptuous like a woman with a generous bosom and a curvy derriere but still with a washboard stomach and appropriately to-scale legs... The F430 is bulky; VERY beefy... It doesn't look like a refined 360, rather it almost looks like what you would expect Ferrari to START OUT with BEFORE finalizing the Modena... Again, this is just my opinion... As far as technology goes, there's no doubting that the F430 is light years ahead of the Modena - an article in Cavallino #144 goes into great detail about it... i just don't think it's a step up from the 360 as far as design goes... i know i keep rambling on and on, but allow me this... The F430 DOES look better in person... i bet, in black, the F430 looks awesome - mainly because it would hide all those bold lines in the rear and would do much to shroud those very intruding, shark nose-inspired front air intakes... Just my two cents...
Sorry, dude, i'm not trying to judge the car... Contrary to belief, i LIKE the F430, i just don't see it as an aesthetic improvement from the Modena... Congratulations on being on the list... Please post pictures upon delivery...
the caption in this photo clearly states that Autocar Magazine did the pix manipulation themselves. No factory confirmation here whatsoever. http://img186.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img186&image=senzo16ha8id.jpg
Nobody comented on the tandem layout, that would be extreamly cool. The drag would be reduced considerably and it would have the cool fighte jet look. Actualy pasinger behind the driver could be the best idea jet, only one thing bugs me, if the engine is behind the pasinger, the driver will be way up front.
The name has to stay forever now. They created the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari (hahaha ) as the ultimate statement to the companies founder. If they create a better car and do not call it an Enzo ... then what are they saying about Mr Enzo Ferrari? Thus for now on all their top (super) cars have to have Enzo in the name somewhere otherwise they are tarnishing the imagine of their boss. Nobody is as stupid as an Italian when it comes to naming something ... and the choice of Enzo as a car name is a complete and utter joke. The media even asked what the next car was going to be called and pointed out how the name will become and insult ... like imagine if the next one was called Luca, or Schumacher. A great car (not the one for me though) but a stupid name. Pete
They can call it a dino. Like Enzo son, again, or they can reuse the enzo name, as a line of superperformance car's and make a evolution of it. Or they can call it GIANNI AGNELLI, like the other boss, or only the GA, so the initials, are the same as me.! hehe
"Super Enzo. 833 HP fixed front and rear wing one seat non homologated (just for track use) interior entirly in carbon , (no leather, not even the seat) extremly low production expected in end 2006."
Mixed Feelings. + : 833 Hp - : 1 seat and non homologated ! Extremly low prod Basically its a racing car that will never race ? Or maybe will now that Maser isnt a ferrari subsidiary ?
