I agree. The good thing about west ave was the shade from the buildings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So you and 'slow rusty' would make TWO Diablos actually being driven in Houston? Besides mine, of course!
The 300SL Merc was wonderful to see ..... But agreed very humid and driving a black / black Porsche with no aircon is a wee bit of a challenge.
That just blows my mind that there are only three Diablos driven in this town. I have seen more $1M+ cars driven around town in the last 6 months than I can 'shake a stick at' but only one other Diablo in the last three years. Did I miss a memo or something? Am I NOT supposed to own and drive one of the most fun and exciting cars ever made? Or are we three owners the only ones to have figured this out? I drove mine just yesterday down to my shop for a last minute photoshoot, and I'm gonna drive her to work again, today. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looking forward to checking out the new shop! Diablo looks sweet as always! I think this car is also local?
I had 2 diablos that I drove regularly. One a 99SV with 29000 miles. Sold it year and a half ago. There are more around here than you think.
I am happy to hear there are more around. The two years I have owned mine I have felt like 'the last of the Mohicans' at various C&C events, Lambo festival, Ferrari Festival, etc. Maybe we should have a 'Diablo Gathering' at my new shop? Make it the largest gathering of Diablos in Houston history? Everyone here would be welcomed but the focus would be on Diablos? How weird/awesome/awkward would something like that be?
Yes, that car is local. I sold it to him towards the end of last year. He has put A LOT of miles on his exotics and enjoys every minute of it. On top of that, it's a '99 Millennium Edition Roadster #6/10.
I think there are 10 Diablos that could be gathered in one location if you could get the word to the right people. For example there are 3 of the probably 125 existing worldwide '99 roadsters here, and you might could get Kerry to bring a 4th from Louisiana.
Well I would absolutely love to put something like that together. What would be the best way to do it? One thing I would like to do is host a 'private C&C' where I would have a catered buffet style breakfast for like minded enthusiasts to gather at the shop, see some of the cool things we have going on, have a race playing on the wall, and discuss fun driving-oriented charity events to put together. Thoughts?
