Arghhh.... I keep missing these events. Picking mine up after a clutch replacement today but then need to come home to sell a different car. Soon though I'm signed up for the Galena drive next weekend who's going on that one?
Had to be about the best show yet. I couldn't believe all the nice cars that were in the parking lot also!
Here is a small sample of the cars there. By far, the best turnout yet! Haha, I didn't notice the plate on the yellow 458 I also heard an F40 showed up late!??! Why do they always come after I leave? That Morgan 3-Wheeler was great. The owner said he powder-coated the wheels burgundy to match the interior
I was there to the end and never saw an F40. Literally the last car car out as security threw up the chains.
Thanks for all the pics. I am really bummed now that I missed it. Love the F40, my favorite Ferrari besides my 328. That Ford GT40 is growing on me. I'm starting to like the lines more and more.
AAAAAGHH! Missed it! The only downside of the event lately is large groups of similar cars get there early and grab primo spots inside the mall. This forces a lot of people to park in the outside lot. It seems to be a trend of those groups staying for an hour or so and then all of them leaving. This leaves the prime inside spots empty and it's usually too crowded for any to take them. Just an observation and my $.02. I always get there around 8:00 and haven't had any issues.
I sent SCS an email suggestion that they should only allow cars to park inside the Promenade if they agree not to leave before 11 am. I agree it kills the atmosphere when half the prime spots are empty by 10 am. Maybe if you and multiple people sent the same suggestion they might take heed.
Thanks for sharing, looked like a excellent turnout. Hopefully will make it to Bannockburn one (much closer to me).
