Hey purists, don't shoot me, but bc my 355 is seeming a little pokey nowadays even compared to a Mercedes, I was toying with the idea of more power.

I've heard of the place in Austalia that makes twin turbo kits for a 355, but I like the idea of a supercharger better. Anyone do a supercharger for a 355 and is something like this realistically viable. I really don't know what would even be a better solution in general, turbo or supercharger - would luv to know which is better and why.

My car is 100% stock and I love it how it is, but the idea of more power is VERY intriguing.

    Thanks,
    David

From what I have heard this is a nightmare since the maintence makes a stock Ferrari look like childs play.

David, moved to the appropriate sub-forum. You'll get more traction on this part of the board.

Check the archives. There have been a couple of instances where this has been done succesfully, but with a decent amount of time and cost involved.

Check Heffner Performance as well. They did a forced induction system on fellow FChatter G-Force's Lambo Gallardo. They may have done - or could do - something for a 355.

    Best.

Agreed Heffner is the place to go. I've owned a couple of Vipers and their results are fantastic.

Thanks guys. I realize that I may be playing with fire here by thinking to modify a delicate Ferrari engine, but thought I'd ask anyway, bc maybe someone knows something I don't.

Adding about 5lbs of boost should bump horsepower up to around 500. It may require a bit more (perhaps 6lbs boost) with a supercharger than with a turbo because of a s/c's parasitic losses.

I think that company only started back in 2003, so the 360 is their oldest model.
