    Bought a set of new caps for the 308 and some new wire from kingsborne to make a new set of wires. Was pulling my hair out trying to test the resistance between the cap and the terminal end. Finally realized the problem! The 3/4 holes and the coil hole on these caps are not deep enough to allow the wire to be sufficiently pierced. The 1/2 holes are fine. Ended up carefully measuring and drilling out the holes with a 5/16 bit.

    I also had issues with Superformance caps for my -79 GTS. The distance between the rotor and the center contact on the cap was too little so would cause the rotor to bind. It seems those caps would need a cork gasket to fit.
