    Greetings.

A few days ago I decided to buy a new car. Having an F430 F1 I wanted something even faster and *most importantly* better handling! IOW; Even Faster! <chuckle>

I decided that the Scuderia was *not* an option. Partially due to the onerous new policies F-Dealers have implemented. But mostly because I felt that Gran Prix Imports could be trusted to provide me with *acceptable* customer service after the sale. That is of utmost importance to me. And it should be to all exotic car buyers.

But first we must find a suitable car and GPI were (at first) unable to help me. So I contacted another person whom we all know to be a true gentleman .... Roy Cats (catsexotics.com) and asked him for his help and advice. And I made it perfectly clear that I preferred to buy a car from GPI if at all possible.

Within hours Roy had found me a suitable SL! I repeat he *knew* that he was unlikely to sell me a car if GPI found me a similar SL (not necessarily at a matching or lower price). Roy spent an huge amount of time keeping me informed, placing my F430 on his website and fielding calls on it. And finally networking with Matt Crandall of GPI to ensure my full satisfaction.

You see dear friends, within an hour or so of finding the SL I ended up buying .... Matt had also found the same freakin car for me! At this point I told Roy that I would bend over backwards to deal w/Matt of GPI and thanked Roy for his time. You'd think that Roy would simply disappear .... head for *greener* pastures <pun intended>.

Nope, I really think that Roy couldn't care less if makes a buck or two on car sales. He continued to help me with my own F430 sale, he networked w/Matt to make sure that I was fully satisfied (not that there was any doubt) and offered his services in full .... at no charge to me whatsoever!

Prior to chatting with Roy I was almost ready to give up and continue driving my other cars until next year. So, I owe you one Roy. TAM!

    Peace,

    Richard.

As soon as I wrap my grimy, greasy meathooks around the wheel.

For now: It's a new Arancio Borealis 08 SL w/E-Gear, steel brakes, SL wing, Roll Bar prep, travel pack, CF package, alarm; tire repair kit and floor mats.

    Peace,

    Richard.

Sounds tastey. You should probably change your profile as I do not feel that a Gallardo SL is 'nothing noteworthy' ;)

Yes, I was glad to help...to me it is ALL about the cars and having a great time with them. I am glad we were able to find you the right car and get Matt at GPI to get you into...and yes there was no charge, nor did I make a dime on it...but it was sure fun making a new OWNER for Lambo in the NW and making someone smile~!~!

The result of success in the end of the challange was good enough for me...

    Thanks Roy

Smile? I am grinning from ear to ear!

I should state that I looove all fast machines. Not just Ferraris, Lambos .... exotics. My only requirement (besides the usual, e.g. reliability) is that they have an electronically controlled gearbox.

FYI; what I mean by fast has very freakin little to do with horsepower and everything to do with handling.

The Superleggera that Matt let me drive (and he paid for my session, how's that for class!?!?!) at PIR's grand re-opening obviously handled much better than my F430. As for the extra HP/Torque .... nice down the straights but a PITA in the corners. And life begins at one "G." ;-)

    Peace,

    Richard.

I have never actually spoken to Roy, but Kevin has helped me several times. They are great people to do business with...I would much rather have someone that I like make some money than some of the *******s out there. I think its obvious they like and have fun with the Lambo stuff and also understand what it takes to satisfy a customer.

You have no idea how much I wish I could have dealt strictly with Roy. But the great folks at GPI have been good to me over the past couple of years and I just couldn't ignore the benefits of continuing a good relationship.

I actually gave one outfit a second chance to earn my business. Mostly because i'd promised a person I like there that i'd do so.

In retrospect I *KNOW* I will be forever glad that I was once again treated like .... well .... nuff said. <chuckle>

Yes! But how can one not enjoy selling exotics? I know, in time, it becomes just a job. But what a job!

Now, if I can just talk Lambo into making a car with a DSG and fully adjustable suspension i'd be in car heaven!

    Peace,

    Richard.
