I know there are several folks who have, or who know someone who has, used these? Aside from being butt ugly and looking like a stupid dopy-tuner can, do these really sound good? Someone mentioned that a 308 sounded like an F1 car. Now I could maybe get past the looks for the sound! Was this just the diffuser alone or the glass pack/diffuser combo? Anyone have any thoughts on this?

    Thanks guys and/or girls!
    Jim

SuperTrapps sound great and they have several styles all of which do not look like fart-cans. See the auto section at www.supertrapp.com

I have been running a supertrapp on my 308 for several years, and yes, they look rather ugly. However, you can make them sound anyway you want. More important, you can move the cars performance to suit the type of track you are running on. More diffusers= more noise= more top end.

I know this is purely subjective, but can you describe the sound? I would love to get that "brapp" sound (or better!) I have heard with a Tubi on a 360. However, I was not in the least impressed with a Tubi on a 308 or 328. Do you run the diffuser/glasspack combo? Is it straight pipes to the SuperTrapps?

    Thanks Pad!

BTW, how do you get "sniffed" for emissions with a closed end system like that?

    Franklin,
Thanks for the link. I had seen it before but just noticed the chrome package that necks back down for a more "normal" size exit pipe. I wonder how you change the diffusers with a setup like that? I guess I need to give them a call.
    Thanks

The reducer on the end is easily removable so you can add or remove disc.

LobeAlong, the setup will definitely produce the "brapp". I am using part # 549-3519 which is mounted parrallel under the bumper exiting out the left side of the car. Straight exhaust through to the Supertrapp.
