A couple years back, I purchased some newly manufactured tool bags (250style) from a car rubber place in Switzerland. I can not find their contact info. Think they may have had a website
Does this sound familar to anyone?

    Thank you in advance

Does anyone have an opinion about the quality/accuracy of Cargroup's bags (particularly 275/330 style)?

    Dear Tom,
i come back, thru this old thread, to you about my search for a repro tool bag for my newly acquired 330GTC.
I saw another thread where you nicely published the different model sketches of these bags from the model's parts catalogues.
I am to buy one to CARGUM which has been indicated privately by Christopher Christ with whom I exchange frequently.
To try to stick at the best to the 330 GTC original, and I am interrogative about the design, ie the number of loops on both straps.
The 330 GTC parts manuals show, in the upper row (jack on the left) 1 loop, 2 rivets, 10 loops. In the lower strap: 2 loops, 1 rivet, 9 loops. The same as for the 275GTB owner's manual.
The 330 GTC owner's manual, slightly different: upper 2 loops, 2 rivets, 10 loops / lower idem 2 loops 1 rivet, 9 loops.
But exchanging as well with M.Krebser of Cargum, and Jim Cavalieri who gets an original , it seems that nobody has seen an original tool bag with 10 loops on the upper strap.
Since you know very well this matter, could give me your best recommandation, of course without spending time on it and knowing that Pinin, at that time was not as processed as nowadays to stick to one single way.

    Thanks in advance,
    Jean-Paul

    Dear FChatters,
I come back on this thread, since I just received the CARGUM tool bag for my 330GTC, early type with one single bag.
After looking to Jim Cavalieri pictures, documentation (of which different layouts according to Ferrari OM or Spare Parts catalogue!), we finalised with the exact original tool bag repro (if any?) thanks to Cargum manager, M.Krebser, attention and dedication so reach that goal.
The result is excellent: dimensions, canvas slightly grained, buckles, rivets, loops, stiching.
Always professional and transparent exchanges with M.Krebser.
IMO, according to spare parts catalogue descriptions, these bag could suit for 275 GTB/GTS & 330 GTS and maybe others of 66/68 period.
Website: https://www.cargroup.ch/index_engl.html. (type tool bag in "search").
    Regards,
    Jean-Paul

I see two bags for 330GTC listed. Part numbers are:
    CG-WZT001A
    CG-WZT001A-1

They appear identical? Which one did you purchase? I assume the CARGUM label is not permanently affixed?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,
These references do not appear as Ferrari refs whereas in the spare parts catalogue the bag is just quoted but without ref #.
FYI, early 330GTC had a single tool bag with pouch for jack and hubs, while later cars had 2 separate bags: one for jack & hubs, the other for tools.
I enclose the IAC/PFA judge's guide extract on this topic.
Depending upon your chassis # you choose the right bag to be compliant with original, if wished.
Of course Cargum logo is just for picture property rights and not on bag itself.
    Hope it helps,
    Jean-Paul

Cargum website says that the vinyl is black.

Is the vinyl actually brown, and the "black" is a typo?

    Alex,
the IAC judges guide shows a later GTC tool bag, colour brown.
But many pictures of "certified" originals (indeed looking very old) are black, as you may see on some Fchat posts.
In the 60's neither F nor Pinin had a rigorous management of subcontractors as bag's suppliers.
So one can assume that both existed when the car was delivered.
That is why I took it black as from Cargum, and designed exactly as old bags pictures look.
    Hope it helps,
    Jean-Paul

    Edward,
exact, but the question reports to the colour of single tool bag of early cars.
Most of what I have seen for originals are black. Any confirmation?

    Hi Lancia, and others,
My black vinyl from CARGUM is slightly grained and, since of same period, I assume that 275GTB and 330 GTC were similar even if 330GTC from Pinin and 275GTB from Scalietti if I am not wrong, but always F.
Ask CARGUM to M.Krebser, the manager, he is very helpful and he understands perfectly.
He can also provide rigid handle with 2 metal squares (I think he has a perfect one on stock). Both handles existed...
For the number of loops, for 330 GTC, to the best of my observations of numerous original bags pics, it is 2 loops, 2 rivets, 9 loops on both straps, as on OM sketch.
But the design of the Spare parts catalogue is different (10 & 9 loops), as for the tools placement!! So better to refer to pics, but original!
For 275GTB OM it looks with 10 loops, (don't know in the spare parts catalogue?) but again those bags were probably the same for both cars, whatever the OM description is.
This is confirmed by PFA Judge's guide (V7) which points that tools assortment was not consistent along the production run.
    Hope it helps,
    Jean-Paul

    Hello Ferraristi,
My Name is Hermann Krebser from CARGROUP IND.LTD and we made the Tool Bag for a Customer in France (330GTC).

Regarding the so often requested brown material, I regret to inform you that this material cannot be found. We tried to recreate this material but no one wanted or could make it. If anyone knows where to get this material (please let us know the supplier), we would be happy to produce the bags in brown as well.

Regarding the black smooth material, we have not yet found any material that would match the original. It should look a little shiny like it was oiled. We have never found anything like this to use as a template for a production. Whether someone would then make it is another question.

If anyone has any input, please feel free to send us the documentation to [email protected]

For all other suggestions or questions we are at your disposal. Please contact us

The original which we have Tool Bag and Jack Bag sepaterted and is from a 330 GTC. This is textured, but there may have been smooth ones, we don't know.
