Well, just could not help ourselfs... Ben and Northwest Auto Salon, NWAS and myself at Cats Exotics decided we need something special up here in the PNW to accent the opening of our new facility together in the first part of the coming year...so we treated ourselfs to this!! 2008 Koenigsegg CCX with all the 2010 "Factory" OEM CCXR upgrades recently installed by the factory. Car has JUST 304 miles on it and is arriving here in Seattle this weekend...YAHOOOOOOOOOOO. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've always liked the way the doors open on those ... BTW, saw you on TV the other night on a Barrett Jackson repeat special, where you bought the Shelby.
LOL yea that was a GOOD day...bought it that night..sold it the next day for a tiddy profit.. Drove it all of 1/2 of a mile
I'm impressed Roy! you must tell of of your impressions of the car, as many people slate it. I read on another forum that of the 10 or so in the States, many owners are trying to offload thiers. I have no idea if this is a factual statement, or just a hater posting. So let us know what you think! Look forward to reading your impressions.
+1 on your post, many haters out there. It wold be nice to hear an objective impression on the Koenigsegg
I have had less than a mile seat time in it so far..of course I will get more and post it up.. I can say that acording to the Factory there are 5 "possibe" 6 in the USA, not 10.. Of those, most are the early cars..which did have some items lacking, such as rear wing for downforce, CC brakes, crapy instrument cluster, lacking quality exhaust, weaker wheels, 50 state (California) emmission non-compliant etc etc..807 HP.. This is the main reason the previous owner flew two factory workers over to the USA and TOTALY upgraded the car to 2010 OEM specs in March of this year...all documented and perfromed by OEM factory techs and parts, at a cost exceeding $200K...ON TOP of the orginal MSRP of just under $985K. All the 2010 upgrades make a HUGH difference on this car..CC brakes..wheels..instrument cluster.. Emissions compliant 50 state..HP bump to 827..( on pump gas-approaching 900 on "special" fuel) the new titanium exhaust system, CF wing and a lot of other little details for suspension, motor, computer etc etc..makes it a totaly differnt car. But I will only be able to tell after a 1000 miles or so..WHICH I hope to get on it quite quickly LOL LOL I can report from what I have had with it so far..it is a very comfy car to sit in, everthing is right there for the driver, GREAT 6 speed 3 pedal gear box..and the wrap around windshield leaves NO blind spots as many other cars do......AND the exhaust note is to DIE for..love it.. Cant wait to do my own "Any-Gear" show on it..
Well after my first 75 miles in it today.......... Just one word..... WOWZER!!!!!! I have NEVER operated anything as TOP of the food chain as this...and I have operated JUST about everything out there..... WOWZER WOWZER WOWZER Would love to speak more, but I am done with lunch and off for another 75-100 miles by Diner..
No snow tires for that one Congrats again. I cant imagine how it is to drive..must be quite scary. Please post more pictures !
To my suprise..the car is very very tame to drive.. Nice accceleration, very smooth gear box, responsive brakes..best of all..the wrap qround glass windscreen is GREAT..no blind spots at all..and it is VERY VERY comy car..almost as good as tucked away in my bed at night..LOL LOL
Home safe and sound...sleeping for the night.. Tomorrow is ANOTHER DAY!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Can't wait for your driving impressions and more pics taken at the streets merged with regular cars , That would look so otherwordly
Wow, congrats Roy! The Scottsdale Ferrari dealership has a black one, but sadly, it's not for the public to see, and is supposedly hiding in the service building.
