This is the first thread I have started on FerrariChat, and believe me I'm not trying to upset anyone. BUT.......... Why, oh why do so many owners persist in wearing such pure tat as ferrari t-shirts, ferrari caps, ferrari fleeces, ferrari sock, etc, etc. Don't get me wrong, there's times & places (albiet not many) where this can be seen as 'acceptable', for example LeMans, but FFS, not to go shopping in, or walking the dog, etc. Does the car not speak for itself ? Is everything else not a little, whats the word ................... SAD ?
I agree. I have a Ferrari cap that my sister got me but I wouldn't wear it. On the other hand my girlfriend bought me a Tom Sellick 'tash and wig which I regulary wear with my aviator shades and my Hawian shirts!!!!
Hawaiian shorts are acceptable, although the tash is somewhat down to individual taste, ie. should never been considered.
Personally I think they are okay to wear if you are not in a ferrari or do not own one. If you do and you wear their clothes while driving I think it's tacky
What would be even worse was if we had a moderator that wore all that sort of thing. Can you imagine one that finished the ensemble off with RED trousers? I mean who could have such bad taste Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree completely with this but... some people can pull it off, older chaps mostly! Have you seen my Dad in the Drivers Run Monaco DVD? He pulls up in the 575 red from head to toe....looks good.
I was driving my F355 in a nearby town a while ago and a local oik yelled "w@nker!" as I passed. He was wearing, you guessed it, a Ferrari t-shirt. Priceless.
Be grateful you don't go to Subaru gatherings. 90% of drivers wear the blue Subaru merchandise. I think subtle works better than being covered head to foot. I didn't hear any complaints last month when I took part in a run/drive and wore a Ferrari t-shirt in my scooby..lol
I was trying to stay out of this thread cos I knew I'd be on a hiding to nothing. Oh well, looks like I'm off to Dorothy Perkins this weekend to get some new clothes
The flask should contain some Booker's............134 proof, add water, to personal taste. You gotta look the part man, kids are watching! LOL! I use REAL team gear for the appearances of the World's Fastest Art Car, as seen in Cavallino #133, (The Journal of Ferrari History) I do prefer the older "blood red" though, they sent me a set of the "new TV orange"........but looking at it makes the blood rush to my head and my ears start ringing........... BRB, gotta help AJ Foyt, with these Africanized bees.............he's got over 200 stings, mostly to the face and neck. "Lay down, AJ, and take your Benedryl!" TTFN, Buba
Collector's Stuidio in Canada has the stuff, but I prefer JMJ Automobilia........Marie always calls when she gets a nice cashmere, or something, in my size.... She has Schumi's old champagne bottles, signed, as well...............
Tropical shirts? Well, that's everyday, for a Galveston native...... And quit yanking on the 'stach!!!!.....it's REAL! ROTFLMAO! Gotta go see the Fire Chief...........ya'll have a GREAT day.......
years ago i seen this dude gets out of his ferrari red shirt red cap red watch first thing came to mind ( wat a f***kin tosser hey!! that dudein that pic looks jerry seinfeld cheers rizzo in oz
So the concensus seems to be that it makes you look like a right tw@t. Yet, so many on here seem to wear them. Believe me, it doesn't look good. I mean do you honestly think getting out of a ferrari, dressed head to toe in red is a good fashion choice. Its not. Its not just ferrari mind, just happened to post it on here as its a ferrari site. As someone said Subaru are the same. TVR have some shocking stuff for sale which I assume people must buy (otherwise why would they keep selling it ?). Cufflinks. I mean, if I met a guy who was wearing a set of TVR cufflinks. Tw@t. Nuff said. Ditto Ferrari, Lambo, Maserati, etc, etc. Always though its better to be a bit 'understated' personally. You know, the scruffy guy in the corner, jeans/t-shirts, etc. Probably why on my last trip to the local Ferrari/Porsche dealership, I found myself wandering round for about 30 minutes before anyone even talked to me. However, a couple of guys who turned up suited & booted after me (looking a Boxsters of all the cars) were nearly immediately approached by the staff. An odd world. Buts thats a different thread completely.
To YOU it doesn't look good........... To the little French girl....well, all I can say is............it DID!!!!!!!! LOL!
This is all done to individual taste; i'm not a fan of Ferrari branded clothing but have no prob if others like it
