And the good thing is now you know there is not a lot of filler on the car, orherwise it would have cracked.

This is one of the best examples I have seen of paintless dent removal saving the day. What an outstanding job on a wonderful automobile.

Aloha...Fred said aluminum is much harder to work on than steel...it flexes all over the place

....there is no filler in this alloy bodied car, as I have the info from the shop that did the repaint in 1992. Lucky me.........

How do they do that!! I notice both wheels and light is still on the car. What skill that must take just to do it from the top. How do they get the dent out? Is it just by suction cups? And what is he doing to the body with that device he is using? Can anyone shed any light on how they do it?

Aloha......Fred uses a long metal bar leveraged from underneath the dent first to push it up, then taps it down from the top, then repeats the process a few times until it's done. He suction cups a black and white grid board to help see the contours....years of experience......dealers and rent a car companies use him the most.......

I just read this thread. While I'm glad that the repair proved to be perfect, I might have left the ding for a while. Looks like it would have made a great cup-holder.
