    Hi 246 experts,

    please have a look on the photo attached. As you can see there, the upper wishbone is not held by the “U bolt fork”. Instead, the fork is welded on the frame. It seems to be original. No traces of DIY modification. No holes in the frame behind the fork. Welding is Ferrari style.

    In the spare parts catalogue, instead, both lower and upper wishbones are being held by adjustable U bolt forks.

    Any idea why this 246 is different?

    Later 246 top suspension pick ups were welded, lower are adjustable by shims for camber adj..

    Upper and lower Ball joints are also adjustable with shims for castor setting, be sure to put them back as you found them or get the suspension fully aligned once finished
