I bought my 355 last week and have been confronted with my first light which is the suspension light. I think it will go off after I drive the car but, for some reason, it will come on while warming up in the garage. What causes the light to set and what should I do to solve it besides, of course, removing the bulb. I would appreciate any information as the Owners Manual is not very informative.

Hey Eric, the system requires that you have input from the speed sensor. Never the less the light should not come on at idle. If the light stays on after you cycle your ignition and you drive then you will need to check the gear under the red shock accuators. The rears are really easy to access and check. If you need the gear they are around 30 dollars as I recall and the install took me 15 minutes.

Four things commonly cause the light to trip:

    1) Failed speedometer sender (you would notice your speedometer/odometer not working too)

    2) Improperly seated shock actuator. You need to remove and reinstall each one, a 15 minute procedure on the rear, a 30 minute procedure on the front, since you need to remove the trunk liner to get at them.

    3) Broken shock actuator (no known fix, so you have to find a used or new replacement $$$!)

    4) Broken gear on top of shock that connects to the actuator. The gears are plastic, and metal replacements are available from Ricambi America
