About seven few years ago, the rear suspension on my car got hard as a rock. Replaced accumulators, and good to go.

It’s happening again. This time it’s accompanied by my power steering reservoir dropping very low and then refilling to full after the car is shut down.

I don’t recall that last time. I’m guessing if the bladder inside an accumulator is shot, maybe the ball is filling with fluid when running and that’s then draining back into the system?

I’m not seeing any leaks anywhere (although I filled the fluid reservoir when it appears low, and it then overflowed when the system drained back after I shut the car down).

Before I replace them again, sound like accumulators? Seem unusual to need them again after this period? Other suggestions? Also, wondering if the Dexron VI synthetic fluid I’m using might somehow be hastening their demise?
