Hopefully it won’t be like this Interesting to see a 4 door car with… no door handle Talking about design, I’m really impatient to see from which cars the team design brought some historical details, and what F cars could have been the inspiration.
To comply with the wishes of the potential buyers the Purosangue is expected to have four doors. Enzo once said "If you want a four door Ferrari we have a Maserati". As far as I know only two Ferrari models have been made with four doors and both were designed by Pininfarina. One is the 456 GT Venice shooting brake made for the sultan of Brunei and the other is the one-off Ferrari Pinin sedan. I'm impatient like you to see if the Purosangue design will have inspirational details of F cars DNA and I'm convinced that the FF/Lusso will be sources of inspiration for the new FUV.
I was also wondering if Ferrari would take inspiration from the Pinin, which at that time was an official « Ferrari by Pininfarina » car (not a « simple » Ferrari), but that remained as a concept. As per the 456 GT Venice, designed AND produced by Pininfarina, it exists as a sedan and also as an estate car. I’m not sure that Ferrari will use design clues of the 456 into the Purosangue.
Note Bene: as Manzoni mentioned the P4 design during several occasions… what about a P4 design brought to the Purosangue?
There is the 1967 P4 made for the World Sports Car and Prototype Championship and also the 2006 P4/5 one-off made for a millionaire owner. They were designed by Pininfarina and I like the two but I wonder how these sports cars can inspire the design of an FUV.

The Purosangue is expected to make its public debut during 2022 and is possible that it could go on sale later next year. With less than four months until the end of 2021 Ferrari has to work around the clock in order to have the car ready by 2022. My optimistic guess is that until the end of March 2022 Ferrari will be using new mules with bodies not travestied from the Levante but already with the Purosangue final design.
This is an old rendering of a FF from 2012 but with 4 doors, an higher ride height and more internal space than the standard FF. Image Unavailable, Please Login
This photographer spotted the same mule last July and that suggests Ferrari now is using more often the same mule. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not a fan of this horrible design, too angular, too dark, too much plastic… this Casio G-Shock watch is horrible
Judging from the Rev counter my initial guess is that this a V6/TT/Hybrid version. Compare it with the 296…
Well spotted! It’s also the dash screen from the Roma. Only a few months to wait until we see the final dashboard and layout and the engines fitted.

At this late hour that has got to be close to the final shape. Why go through all the detailed camouflage bits and bobs if the actual body is completely different? At some point the body and rest of car need to be extensively tested together. I’m afraid this is it. Blah.
In this picture, the redline is at around 8500 rpm. I agree this looks like the 296GTB powertrain that is supposed to sound like a "little v12"... I really hope they have a NA V12 as their top model as we have been promised.
