How hard is it to substitute a new nav unit for the old. I guess a new CD changer will be harder in having to run control cable but is it that hard to do the head unit. Assume it has the standard Becker fittings?

My advise would be to get a custom installer to do the job for you, a lot less hassle and likely to be a better job. I had the standard Becker and the 5-disc holder (useless) taken out and a double-DIN Pioneer unit installed:

Thanks Phil. Do you have a contact for who did it in the UK? Don't really want just anyone to start fiddling around in the car.

Phil, did you have to do more than take out the existing? Is it a custom facia?

    BT3 going in this week....

The installers had to make a thin surround 'border' so that there were no gaps, that wrapped underneath a little too... It's not a huge job.

So actually went with Dynamic Audio in London as I booked them before your message.

I think they did a very good job. Photo attached. This is so much better than the stock unit it is ridiculous......
