Yes he did. I found the police report, a S&W .45cal I was hoping to get this thread going with people who said he didn't have a gun and blah blah blah bad cop, and then pull out the police report and prove them wrong. Oh well.
I've got a question. Officer comes into room with weapon (assume semi automatic, but it doesn't matter) trained on suspect. How does suspect think he can draw and shoot faster than officer can pull trigger?
He may not...they started a name for this "suicide by cop syndrome".... But a more rational suspect may think if he can move and draw, such that the officer may not be able to "track and press the trigger" quickly enough, or yank the trigger enough to miss, or may hesitate....any number of things...or the suspect may just be a numb n*ts.... There's not much thinking involved when the whole thing takes less than a second. He just went for his gun by instinct.
It does load strange...it was in the back, behind the front page when I ran it... Just another dumb @ss trying to out gun a SWAT TEam, geeeez, his only words should have been: "May I reach slowly for my cell phone to contact my attorney?" If you see a guy bust into your door dressed like that FREEZE and do just as they say......... Dial 222-BAIL......that's what I do..........
