Consideraly overpriced at the B I N price. Canepa are quite concerned at how prices have fallen off, given their own inventory and the conversion + original price of these puppies. Less than 4months ago saw one go for $285k. Sweet ride nonetheless.

If i were to buy one I would not want a Canepa touched car. I have heard way too many problems with his conversions. I would much prefer a car as close to stock as possible.

 

I'm not sure who does the 'best' job federalizing 959s but there are a few other shops that do the work too...IF I had the money I'd do my homework and not buy something off of e-bay.

BTW that 914 has been for sale off and on for the past couple years...I think they are expecting to make money on the car...good luck. 914s haven't hit that status yet. Cool car, just too much money. I'd rather have mine with $30k in upgrades done to it.

 

Putting that car on ebay was a total WASTE! Do you REALLY think a 959 buyer is hanging out there? If your connections are so poor that is where you have to look for a buyer then that is just sad.

The first federalized 959 came in through Houston and Wallace Environmental Testing Labs (WETL) back in the early '90's... In theory all 959's will require the same type of conversion, but how each company gets to the federally accepted end product will be different and result in some of the cars working better than others...

WETL, federalized my '92 928 GTS back in 2000...nice folks.
