super cool. I'm a big Payton fan, and a big Porsche fan, so this is a bit of a grail car to me (and apparently to someone else!)

    love the wheels too.

    Possibly Leno?

Side note. My wife grew up in the neighborhood where Walter Payton lived early in his football career. Her little brother got to go for a ride with him in his Lambo. He often skated with the kids on the block, and played basketball with them on the street.

    WOW!

I've never been a fan of any sports, but always had great respect for Walter Payton. He did a LOT for his community, and the area in general.

Friggin' awesome looking car, too. :)

a few years ago I was invited to attend the ceremony where my schools then Sophomore QB.. was fortunate enough to win the Walter Peyton award given annually to a college football player... really nice event that Qb is now backup to Cam Newton..on the Panthers....and every writeup on his history includes winning the WP award.....
    very nice car...

I was at the auction, spoke to Walter's son when he came into the arena, told him, that being from Canton, I thought it was appropriate that I take the car back to Canton with me, where it could live near the bronze bust of his father....for some reason, he wasn't swayed with my logic....it sold for $295,000.....a tad out of my budget.

Thanks for correcting the selling price, which the Tribune article I linked listed wrong.

I'm assuming the $324k in the Tribune's article was *with* buyers fee, not without as stated.
