    Guys,

    I'm sure the Swiss Number Plates mean something, And it was explained to me a long time ago, But I forgot, Can any Swiss memebers remind me, or point me to a list of the meanings, I remember something about Cantons?

    ZH, BE, ZG, FR Etc. Etc and the U at the end means trade plate ??? or something....Sorry for my vagueness....

    Additionally like you said, a plate with U on is a garage plate that a dealer etc can simply hang on any car and its insured for him. If it has a Z on the plate its a temporaray zoll (import) plate for cars brought over for less than 12 months avoiding import duty. P is for a post vehicle and M for a military vehicle.
