Personally I would. I have learned over time that adding a small amount of another synthetic has never hurt any of my vehicles.

What about mixing Dino Oil and synthetic?

I mean when you switch from one to another how well does it have to be drained?

I have been told by several mechanics. Ok to mix conventional together and ok to mix synthetics together (different brands)-----never mix synthetics with conventional!! Use one or the other!!

If you mix it yourself you actually know how much synthetic you get.... ;)
A number of people do make their own mixes, but there's no guarantee that the packages in the synthetic and conventional oils are similar. They're all "compatible", don't believe some individuals opinion, go the websites of the synthetic manufacturers. Every one of them will have a statement that they're compatible with conventional oils.
