Thi is not a race car.
Gordon says he doesnt care about performance numbers.
He cares about driving experiance and enjoyment.
When you buy a car because of numbers next year there will be something faster.

I know all this, i get all the manual and driving experience stuff. I started driving manual at 14. In a Singer Porsche, yeah give me a manual. But his car is so hightech, i can understand even if it had a sequential gear lever for extra involvement. But i don't see a reason to throw all that performance away, in such a car. People go on and on about the 458 being a great "driving experience" and it has a dct. They should have done a sequential lever and no paddles imo.

The car will have rev matching! So he is 'aware' of giving the driver a little help. Just a little. :D

Who knows. IF he does a 'track' version, we'll see. But I doubt it. He is old, and 'old school', thank god. :)

Might be interesting to see how much time paddles save vs. pedals over 24 hrs ...
