    Hi Guys
I would be grateful for any advice regarding the discolouration of the tailpipes of my F12. Is this normal? It didn't happen with my Cali. Can it be cleaned? Or do I accept it ?
    Thanks for any advice
    Steve

Usually you'll see the tailpipes with blackish residue. Unless you've been driving your car ridiculously hard or at a track than you'll see them look white with no black residue. That's usually from when the exhaust is cooking hot and you've been on it all day. My car shifts from black when just locally driving and white on track days.

    Thank you for that info.
I've just bought this car (demo) and am concerned now that test-drivers have been thrashing it.

The tail pipes are 316L stainless steel they will clean up with any metal polish but clean easier with a paste type metal polish just apply and rub hard until the staining goes. Note it's a never ending job. For serious residue removal use a 1200 wet & dry paper first

I recently bought an aftermarket exhaust and had the same problem. After trying several different products I have found that White Diamond metal polish works very well. And yes, I find that I have to clean them every couple of days to maintain nice chrome appearance

Try 0000 steel wool. If it is residue it will clean up. If it's stain I'd try metal polish.
