    6 Months old car.
    My dealer will ask for change under guarantee but is not sure if Ferrari will agree!

    So was there a repair done for some reason as it looks like that . That does not look like factory finish

    Looks like it was specced with a standard silver finish that was lated coated black, which is now deteriorated.

    I had it on my new 296 black exhaust. Took it to dealer and Ferrari replaced it under warranty. Said it was a manufacturing flaw.

    The actual finish on the black portion looks fine . The problem seems to be the rough welds etc on the tip of the actual exhaust beyond where the black finishes

    Those welds look like they were done by hand and not factory finish

    Just FYI: Part was changed by the dealership under guarantee.

    But: Ferrari initially refused and only agreed after my dealer sent photos of 15 vehicles (296) with perfectly finished tail pipes! Come on Ferrari....
