    Those two cars must be some 20 yrs apart in design and concept and the difference in thinking is striking.
    I am not talking about the location of the engine, but rather about the body and the suspension.
    The Merc has the suspension fully enclosed by the body, while the Brabham has the suspension completely out.
    Today F 1 cars have evolved from the B car into open suspension, but with all kind of spoilers, winglets and what have you to divert and direct the air flow around the body.
    It would be interesting to see some MFR experiment with a body similar to that of the Merc, fully enclosing all the supension parts and leaving only the wheels out.
