    Piper insisted that we take the TR for our first day of bird season......here she is with her first retrieve!

    At 9 Weeks she is ready for the field....haha. It probably will be 9 months before she can start her field training, however she already knows "hup" and some of her whistle commands.

    Anyone else bird hunt?

    I love Springer Spaniels. From birth to old age always a puppy. At least in personality. Our Rusty was 16 when he passed away three years ago. I really miss him. Enjoy him and give him lots of attention.

    Tom;

    I had a Brittany before the ESS and they just wanted to do anything to please you. I just hope she stops bitting...my wife calls her the land shark.

    Eww. That's gross.

    I'm reminded of that scene in "Goodfellas".

    "Ma, do you got a knife I can borrow? I hit a deer with the car and I got to hack his paw out of the front bumper"

    Or something like that...
