My 328GTS 88.5 in a Dutch landscape. Fully standard except that I refitted lamps with led providing a great day-light and in the rear safe brake and rear lights!

Prior to 2019 the advantage of having the historical plate is that You are exempt from having your car smog check until 01, 2019 when they’ve change the law, now i have to get smog every two years. Now i can change the plate to a regular plate if i want to but I decided to hang on to it for a while just in case.

Alfer, could you please explain how you did that ? Did you just changed the lamps ? Which one do you use ?


PS : Your 328 is not an 88.5, just an 328 built in 1988 ( Ferrari as Euro manufacture didn't care about US model year )

Yes, Alfer, I'd like to know what lamps (manufacture, source) you had gotten the new bulbs from. A great idea to increase the illumination for safety.

 

I think the wheels look amazing when they have some brake dust and are not clean.
Maybe it’s a cliche of mine, but the darker gray makes them look nice and it reminds me of the old racing cars

1. below an overview of the bulbs replaced by LED. Just remove the old bulbs and insert the LED. Only for the turn signal the relay needs replaced as indicated.
2. I will see also for the info for the head lights that were also replaced by just taking the old halogen out and led's in.
3. when my is no 88.5 should I just name it 328 type 2 (mine was deliverd with ABS and produced on May 31, 1988)

 

Below a printscreen from the site where i ordered them. Aliexpress may be for the NL's only so you might have to go to Alibaba or Amazon.
These have cooling fan although I guess that the original Halogen will get more warm. After installing the lamps can be adjusted by rotating them.
