..for F1 Championship Edition this week. I was also going to order the Logitech Wheel/Pedals and the Playseat (black alcantara arcade race seat).
Just want to be sure I'm getting the best available setup and I know some of you have gone down this path before. Any help, warnings, feedback would be appreciated.

I have a 61" Sony and a 112" projection screen in my theater, not sure which I'll hook it up to first. Looking forward to next weekend.

Very cool!!! I'm looking to set something similar up in the garage once it's finished. Be sure to post some pics and sources once you've got everything set up. I've already got everything but the seat. I've tried almost every chair in the house with the wheel attached to a TV dinner tray table but my present setup (in the den at the moment) is no good at all.

According to Andreas the F1CE doesn't have a force feedback feature for the Logitech wheel, but if you're planning on GTHD or GT5 then it's a very good investment. Personally I never really liked any of the playseats they just moved around too much so I built my own setup. Either way will make the game much more enjoyable.

yeah, I plan on getting GT5 when it comes out so it will get use even after F1 wears off. Well I guess I'll place my order so my seat & wheel gets here by Friday. I hope the seat doesn't move around like you said though.

I'll update the thread with my input once I get a few sessions in.

PS3 is now discounted by $100!!!! I played around with the F1 game the other day and it is truely impressive! Problem, game guys say wheel and foot pedals won't work!
Plus I already have the Sony Blue-Ray player. I think I will wait until they drop another $100!

I bought my PS3 in spring and set it up in my sim with the Logitech FFB wheel etc and guess what: I never played it after I realized that the game doesn't support FFB. You have no feeling what the car is doing. It feels like steering a boat around.

On a gaming site there was a rumour that Sony would release a batch to activate the FFB, but to my knowledge that never happened. If the 2008 game still has no FFB I will have to downgrade back to my Euro PS that actually had FFB. Pretty pathetic, but that's Sony.

The good news about the PS3 will be the new version of GT4 assuming they bring back FFB. Also DIRT should be a killer simulation of Rallying coming out this fall.
