Visited a dealer 9 months ago and he showed me this boat... Nice I thought.... But then he opened the engine compartment....

Evidently, a getleman boatracer in Biarritz built the boat I think in 1963, Called maserati about an engine and, yes , they had an old a6gcs engine lying about and he could buy it. If anyone knows the whole story, please tell.. :)

    Cheers Nik

Ye, #2101 was a oneoff-Spyder by Zagato. This car had a chaindriven engine lika all A6G-2000`s!

The engine in the noat is a gear-driven unit. But there is no A6GCS with chassisnumber #2101 existing. I assume it was a spare motor that came to Argentina with one of the Factory cars for the 1000 km of Buenos Aires. Rumours are that Maserati had a service headquarter in Argentina rat that time run by ex-factory mechanics who emmigrated to that country prior or after the war The existance of such a "headquarter" in AR was never confirmed by Modena.

    Ciao!

The water intake on the right is not with the engine that is in the boat. This was ONLy with the A6G-2000 chain-driven motors.

Engine never been to argentina but was still on factory shelves, unused in 1963 and is on factory records as " sold to sig. xxx in Biarritz as boat engine " According to owner. Not checked these facts, however.. But must have been spare engine..
