Talking of E-Bay

I have a love hate relationship with E-bay, as i have had like most people both good and bad experience with buying goods ( i have never as much as even sold the mother in law on it!) But i have a suspicion that if one was to break a Dino And sell every item individually ( i don't mean down to every last nut and bolt) but from the interior as individual items right through set of 5 wheels to the bodyshell, to the books tools etc. would i be right in thinking that you might attain more than if you sold as a whole?
I have no intention of this personally, but just a grim thought!

I dunno.

If you tear a Dino apart, most of th ebody panels are gonna have some serious rust issues, can't sell them for big bucks, now can you?

The frame, same deal.

but the rest? Sure. From lenses, to seats to the freakin' seat belts, lots if this stuff is very hard to find.

It might be interesting to add up what the pieces are worth...hmmm.....

Dave, I am talking hypothetically of a tub thats had all the rot cut and replaced with new metal and in good paint order and a chassis that has been blasted and enamelled, so therefore very saleable i would have thought and as for doors bonnet engine cover and finally boot lid (sorry trunk) these must be worth a fortune individually?

I'm gonna take an hour over the weekend and try to figure that out.

but, I think when all is said and done, the whole is worth more than the sum of the parts.

Jeez -

I don't much like the drift of this thread. It's starting to sound a little like what my wife was threatening to do when we were in the middle of our engine rebuild, and then again during the exploding window glass episode....

BTW, that was a VERY cool donation of the four Vertical Leonetti Merlot that you made to the Cannon Beach charity auction. I dropped out after the $500 level but it got more exciting. A good heart for a worthwhile cause.

Hey, thank you. While the rest of the "Northwet" Region was in Cannon Beach, OR, we were in our Dino in Walla Walla again, visiting Leonetti and the rest of the usual suspects. Frankie was there too, although Officer Friendly didn't "arrest" him this time.

Ohh, and driving over from Seattle to Walla Walla we got 24.7 MPG. Pretty amazing considering that from Yakima on we hooked up with an extremely motivated VOLVO 2.5T Turbo wagon and a 530xi sedan that we were pacing at 85 to 95 MPH for about 100 miles.

The Ebay fees would be prohibitively expensive.

Not at all sure this is a good pouch. My expert warned me off on it, and he's not bidding, either.
