Finally at a pt in my life where I am seriously looking at exotics but I don't know if I can fit in anything at 6'5". 430 coupe would be my choice if I could fit but I am not sure. I sat in a spyder and I could not lean the seat back enough but I was told it goes back farther in a coupe. I thought the 575 would fit but it seemed smaller than the 430/360. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Customization is always an option, I'm sure you can find shops that will set up a special seat bracket so that you sit lower/farther back in the car. I saw something like that on Unique Whips a while back with an SRT-10... I'd be guessing other shops would do something similar? Just my 2 cents, I can't think of many supercars that look comfortable if you're 6'5. Good luck.

couple of points to consider that result in more head room in coupe than spider are:

    1. Spider upper windshield pillar is about 3/8" thicker than coupe resulting in decrease outward visibility

    2. Daytona seat design "padding" results in about 1/2" increased seat height over non-Daytona seats

IMO, the coupe is better suited than the Spider for taller drivers. In fact, I'm going back to the coupe for these reasons.

I don't know if this helps, but if you ever watch Top Gear, note Clarksons seating position in cars. IIRC, he's right around 6'4" maybe 6'5." Pay attention to how he contorts his body and gets a seating position. Might give you some idea of what you're up against.

I feel your pain I'm 6'5." Course, I'm no where NEAR purchasing an exotic!

I'm 6'7" and I have an '05 F430...the fit is tight (mostly in the shoulders) but it is the only exotic that I was ever able to consider. I can't fit in porsche, aston martin or lambo's. I have a coupe (which gives about an extra inch in headroom vs. the conv) and electic daytona seats. My seat is all the way back, down and reclined to the max against the rearshelf...the tighest part of the car is the shoulder/upper back..not only am I 6'7 but I weight 260lbs.

If you can afford it, I say do it....us tall guys are not limited on a lot of stuff but exotic cars happens to be one of them:)

P.S. There are companies that can cut the seat bracket down to get you another inch of headroom but it will void the warranty and you'll have a bolt going through the flat underside of the car.

P.P.S. The owner of Novitec is 6'5" and makes a lower seat and bracket for tall guys as well as a steering wheel that is flat on the bottom (for the extra knee room)

Hope this helps..PM me if you get serious and I'll give you some more options to look at.

I am a tall and big dude at 6'4" 300lbs and I have no trouble at all fitting in my 360 Spyder with the top up or down. Just make sure you get the electric deats as you get about an extra inch of movement down over the manuel seats.

    Best,
    Brad

Andrew, i fell for you. I am just 6'3" and feel on the edge of comfort in most exotics, usually on the uncomfortable side! I can fit in lambos but hate the lack of sky in my view. Same crowded feel in the Ford GT. I have had vipers and used the slimline seat rails, gaining 1" in headroom. I am sure someone could(or does) make a rail like this for the fcars.
In one Porshce I have gt3 seats bolted to the floor and its a pure revelation to enjoy the views and skyline that most people have.
You can also have the seat cushion foam shaved and gain an inch, although I prefer the racing seats and they offer much better headroom than daytonas.
    Where theres a will........
    good luck.

Gotta be a real tight fit though man. Im only 5-10 200 and its a tight for me. I'ts not the headroom but the seats. I have the daytona's and Im not sure if that matters but the bolsters are at the max and I barely squeeze in there.

6'7" and 250. I feel like I fit fine in the 360 coupe and spider that I test drove. The coupe does have more room however. I still plan on getting a spider next year, despite the minimal degree of decreased interior space.

Of course, I think as a tall guy my idea of what I consider a 'good fit' is different than normal sized people. In almost any automobile but a full sized truck I have some degree of arms, knees, shoulders, etc.. bumping up against some part of the cabin or seats (or roof!), and I accept it as just part of driving the car I want.

Some cars I just don't fit in, though. Can't even get in a Miata or Z3 (but I fit great in my MGB and MGB. Go figure)

My 328 is about as small of a car that I can get in and still drive without being in pain. ;)

Your 360 is beautiful! Do you have any interior pictures? I would love to see them. I have a 360 Spyder being shipped to me this Friday. So excited!

the issue for those in the US is that there is only one seat available with or without "Daytona" trim and manually or electrically operated. The racing seat hasn't been available for a while as a Ferrari option in the US..

6'2" 200 and I have absolutely no problem getting in or driving my coupe. I have the seat up a few inches. Shouldn't be a problem for 6'5"
