I've heard mixed reviews on whether someone over 6 foot can fit comfortably. As in the firewall is surprisingly close to the seat, such that leg room is severely compromised. Any first-hand accounts?

I am 6' 5". I can drive the cars, but you won't be very comfortable. However, you can improve things significantly by having the set back "thinned" to allow you to set further back in the seat. Every inch makes a big difference.

I am 6'4" and I have been pretty comfortable on longer journeys in my coupe, which is the same platform. But, you need to adapt. Tall men usually have bigger feet, so driving with size 12 Nikes can be problematic. Bulky shoes bring your knees closer to the steering wheels and the gear knob. Wear slim shoes or do as I do, drive shoeless. The seat is less than comfortable on long drives, so a little cushion for the lower back helps. Good luck.
