Finally, I am able to contribute:

I just bought a 1981 308 GTB (See previous post labelled: "I did it") and am trying to make it more comfortable for me (I am 6'6" tall).

I have discovered something that none of the other posts mentioned: THE STEERING COLUMN IS ADJUSTABLE UP AND DOWN!

Yes, take off the little cover under the steering column and you will see two horizontal bolts. Loosen them both up a little and move the wheel up and down to your desired location.

This made a tremendous difference for me.

However I would still like to put a spacer between the steering wheel and the column. Unfortunately, I have a Nardi wheel and the Hill Engineering and Pelican Parts spacers only work on Momo wheels.

Does anyone know where I can get a Nardi one, or am I going to have to make one for myself?

Talk to a machine shop. Shouldn't be too hard or expensive to make. Bring a pic of one of the "Momo" ones and they can make one to fit your wheel.
I use "Metal Supermarkets" in Ft. Wayne and they were great. Here is the Indy location:

You would need to go way back to see the different posts on the up and down adjustment . It's there some place and it does the trick. I'm 6'4" and with the wheel adjusted up and the 1" spacer it works great for me. Lots of finger space between the wheel and the instr. pod ( can see all of the gages) and plenty of room for the right knee. I slide my seat back all of the way and adjust the back to about 1/2" from the rear firewall. I usually slouch when I sit so it is pretty comfortable for me. Hey enjoy it and welcome to the "B" group.
