I posted a year or so back about this but never ended up going. I now have tickets and am going to the race in October. I was looking at lodging in either Birmingham, Pell City or even Oxford Alabama. I was leaning towards staying closer and taking an uber vs. staying further away and driving in. My question - is driving to the race a mess? is take an uber a mess? What should I do? Thanks. Jesse
Can you count on an Uber? To pick you up after the race? Have you looked at pricing? How close can it get? For both trips? Perhaps latch on with others at your motel and ride with them? For a fee, of course. I would also think there are shuttles - call each motel and ask - then book the motel. I have been there twice, but I was part of a race team, 30+ years ago.
