I'm planning on getting one of those too. Tbh I think the wheel spacers you made are what really make it stand out. Gonna have to do the same :)

Thanks for sharing. You did a good job on the painting and the photo was well taken. I hesitated when i saw the pics on tamiya web. I guess you pics did more justice to this RC model....

I am going to get it soon...!!! Thanks.

Very nice for a polycarbonate body, but how on earth did it mount to the chassis. Do not see any body mounts...

See my profile. I'm about to change the rear decklid and make solid butresses to make it look more like a GTO.

Hey Bert... just caught this post now... your model looks fantastic.

Can you pls elaborate on how you spaced the wheels, and what you used to do so? I like how you detailed the centers in silver also.

Did you have to hand paint the black rub strips and side gills, or are they decals?

The set came with extra parts, "hubs", for another set of wheels, these are bigger. I used these hubs and drilled a hole in them where the cut down proper hubs fit in. Then I had to get longer screws from the hardware store hence the silver centers. Tamiya uses black 2.6 mm screws, I found only silver 3 mm.
There is no handpainting, all the lines and window surrounds and grilles are decals.
