Just curious... what's the going price for a Tamiya die-cast 1:12 scale F50?

Well a 1/12 scale Tamiya F1 or Enzo is about $ 200 without the R/C. I don't think a F50 is much of a collector's item, so probably goes for a similar amount.

I found a F40 and a Mansell F1 skins on ebay from Tamyia for little money so I don't think these things become hot collectable items with high prices.

The Tamiya 1:12 F-50 was a detailed model vs. the RC stuff which is just a shell.

F-50 USED to go for ~$450 since it was in short supply. But now it is reissued and runs in the low $300s. Look on EBAY- lots there now.

Also it is now available in yellow in addition to the origional red.

I'm looking forward to Tamiya's issue of the 1:12 red Enzo later this year.

The Tamiya F-50 when it was over $450 (even approached the $1000 mark at the height of limited availability) was recalled because the red was the incorrect red.

So if color is important, make sure you get the newer F-50 that has the correct Ferrari red.

You can pick up on eBay (or yellow) for ~ $225-$250 average

The first issue of the F50 was easily $400-500.

THe re-issue was done as a "kit" where you had to put on the wheels and doors I believe. Prices for those are 1/2 that at best. We dont even stock them due to lack of demand

I have this model and I agree... $250-300 is the going rate these days. Hobby shops in the US retailed the reissue version for approx $350 abt 1.5 yrs ago. Quality and detail is a little disappointing given the scale and price point. I have seen the original version sell on ebay for as much as $1200 prior to the reissue. I think my Kyosho 1:12 F40 is much nicer, and makes the F50 look bad when displayed side-by-side IMHO. I do have high hopes for the upcoming Tamiya Enzo though!

Yeah, one Fry's had one left from long ago... it was priced at $299, then $249... I had been watching, waiting for it to drop further... finally, when it hit $169, I bought... I was just curious if I was ripped off.
