    Actually, the conversion was commissioned by the original owner and done before the car was delivered to him. And yes, the chassis was strengthened.

    Interesting - how come the original owner didn't order a GTS - were the GTS models available as early as 1968 (sorry if this is a stupid question - I need to brush up on model history for the older models).

    The roof looks good - like some of the later GTS f-cars (348, 355) the roof looks far more seamlessly integrated when painted body colour.

    No, all of the 206's (1968-69) were built as GT's.
