Hey Gizz, how did the event compare with Tas? Roads, organisation, public co-operation?
Not as good. There were some pretty large stuff ups. Not least being the cancelling of stage 18 because they ran out of road closure time. Having us wait at lunch for over 2 hours didnt help. I haven no idea why we were there that long. That part was a shambles. The roads were good. I don’t think anyone had any issues with them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So typical first event teething problems, except these guys have done this quite a few times. A lot of the stage commanders in Tassie are veterans and local to their stages - they may have tried to train up some locals for a few roles that needed more experienced people. Or, worse, maybe they got Simon to help
