targa top cover

I am looking for a picture of the cover for the targa top that goes over the top when stowing the top behind the seats. Could you also confirm that the targa top stows with the outside of the top towards the rear of the car, with the pins up? Thanks.

here are some photos showing when the targa top is stowed behind the seats. the first shows the top behind the seats and the second shows the pins.

also attatched are photos of the targa top cover that snaps in over the top to secure (?) it in place - front and back.

lastly, the final photo is the emergency soft top cover.

I also have an original emergency soft top cover in the same unused (apparently) condition as yours.

Any idea how many were made and how much they are worth?

that's the magic question. i was told for many years that these didn't really exist, and other than a couple of photo's of them - of course those were "press photos" - to forget about finding one.

i don't know if every spyder had one, but they can be found. i am embarressed to say what i have paid for them.

 

14 years ago, I paid $500 for mine, and it was brand new

 

i don't feel that bad about what i paid. what's more interesting is how few of these there seem to be, or at least that most people don't know what it is. now if i could find some of those stupid beach covers that don't exist either.....
