Has anyone ever attempted modifying the targa top on a 308 to get a little more headroom? For example, *Would it help any at all to remove the headliner? *Could the mounting points along the front and back edge be modified so that the top itself rested slightly higher without ruining the look of the roofline? * Could the center of the top be cut out and fiberglassed back in with a gradual, slight height increase towards the center without ruining the overall look of the car?
Nothing says classic racer like bubble top, that would be so cool; just like the gt40 and famous alfas...WOW! OK who is going to fab them out of carbon fiber and sell them to us all for $5,000 , anyone? anyone?
