To all you with a targa top car--on the floor behind the seats where the top fits into is there supposed to be anything there? my car just has 2 open holes that the spikes on the top fit into but I think there might be something missing there like a plastic plugs or something to prevent the top from ridding on the metal body also the leather top cover when I slip it over the top for storage with the latches in there locked(down) position the cover dosent fight right am i supposed to just lay it over the top and than fasten the 2 hold downs in the rear?

    thanks fellas..

There are supposed to be two rubber plugs in those holes to hold it more securely it is very common for them two fall into the holes so before you go out and buy a new pair, although they are only a couple of bucks, check inside and if they are there take out some needle nose pliers and carefully pull them out. Good luck

FYI, if you are over 5'9", there is no way you can store your top and drive safely anywhere. Put it in the garage wrapped in your car cover while you and baby go out and play. :)

I'm 6' tall and can drive comfortably with the top behind me. Perhaps because my '98 GTS is an F1 I don't have to worry about fussing with the seating position to control the clutch.

This isn't universally true. I'm 5'10", and there is room to spare for the top when I have the seat in the preferred position. Maybe I just have shorter legs and a longer torso.

Italian driving style/English. If you drive like your in a Morgan you cant fit, if you drive like an Italian you should fit just fine.
