Sold Taschen Collectors Edition Ferrari Book $6,500

The first collectable I came across during my first visit to Ferrari North America was the Ferrari Opus.

Then, on my most recent factory visit, during dinner at Montana, I noted another large red leather bound book, this time encased in what appeared to be the top end of the 250GTO power plant... I spent some time admiring the presentation, the craftsmanship, and was allowed to turn a few pages even!

Fast forward to Christmas 2022, my S/O remembering the above took it upon herself to locate one for sale.
Many of the vendors offering this special edition work of art, didn't actually HAVE one to sell, and she ended up locating one in Europe. She placed her order and awaited its arrival, and waited, and waited. It made it to the Memphis FedEx hub when everything came to a stop. In short, after a week, they told her FedEx had lost it.
Frantic, she went back online and searched for days until she found another seller, who confirmed they indeed had it in their possession, and would be willing to send it in time for Christmas.

Christmas day came, I spent a lot of time unpackaging this large & extremely heavy box, to find another box, to find a crate, to remove screws, to find a black book labeled " Ferrari " . then under more packing material seeing the familiar red valve covers.. still unaware what I was looking at, until I opened the red valve cover presentation tome to reveal The Book! To say I was surprised would be an understatement!

What does all of this have to do with offering one for sale you are asking yourself right about now...
Well, a couple days later, another large, heavy well packaged box shows up on our doorstep...
Yep, the " lost " shipment from Memphis... was found and showed up.

So, I have two identical Taschen Ferrari collector edition books. While its cool having two, its not reasonable, so one goes up for sale.

$6,500 includes insured shipping in the United States.
