My CS has been down for several months because of a variety of transmission problem (oh how I hate the F1). After replacing clutch, flywheel, sensors etc..the problem was narrowed to TCU (car was driven back to my house a 360 tcu loaner). So I ordered a new TCU and finally got it last night. I figured I would plug it in and see if the car will drive so I can take it back to get the PIS adjusted...well it looks like it's not even seeing the TCU (see picture below) and not registering any of the gears. To the experts, what's the replacement procedure, is this normal until the fresh TCU is programmed? I can't stand the thought of another f-ing problem with the F1 or a bad TCU.

There is more to installing a new TCU than plugging it in and setting the PIS.
Ed (Rustybits) has posted the full procedure on here to set a new TCU up.
It involves several steps which require and SD2 to set-up properly and avoid damage to the F1 system. At one point there are no gear numbers in the display.
