Hello everyone, my 2 boys and myself are going to the USGP this year and I was thinking about bringing a police scanner and seeing if I could pick up some of the team radio communications. If you know what frequencies some of the teams communicate on or if this idea is even practical, please let me know.

Years ago I used to subscribe to the Frequency Fan Club. Not expensive.
Really made it fun to watch the races.

Some races rent scanners and give you the frequencies.

I found more and more teams wanted to keep their communications as secret as possible.

    Good luck.
I hope somebody can be of more help.

If skiing were easy, they'd call it snowboarding.

You are better off with a noise-cancelling headset if you want to hear transmissions. We just bought new light-weight scanners and light-weight noise-cancelling headsets for the ALMS races this year. Makes for interesting listening for sure.
