I think it totally sucks. If I am a kid that actually takes education seriously - I know I will never make it to the pros, do I really want to spend so damned much time getting ready to travel, getting to the airport, going thru security, flying, dealing with delays and canceled flights, decompressing after getting back home? What about flying from LA to Columbus Ohio, and from there to Rutgers, Penn State, maybe stopping at Minnesota or Nebraska? I think the kids - and I am speaking mainly of the lady Softball and Volleyball players - many of which are actually SMART - are going to get hosed. Gymnastics? Baseball? Soccer? Wrestling? I really do feel bad for the kids. (And yes - we know some of them are not 'Kids' - out of ALL the athletes in ALL sports at each school, a very small handful will go pro - but 95-98% will not) And we are not even talking about Bowling, Tennis, LaCrosse, Track, Golf....
